Research plays a central role at BCU and covers a wide range of interests in art and design. Interaction between staff, students, industrial and professional partners brings vitality to a wide range of projects.

All academic staff at the University engage in research and/or professional practice, and there is a substantial and thriving community of postgraduate research students. We have opened up new fields and made significant discoveries in many areas, and have partnered local and national companies to commercialise our research.
